Antique finds

Oh, look what I got!  A gift from Mr. Williams yesterday.  He took a trip to an antique store and brought me, among other antique odds and ends, a recipe book for an automatic frypan, copyright 1953.  (Yes, I'm pleased by random gifts, even for outdated kitchen appliances.  They're adorable!)
Here are some more photos....

This book contains recipes for everything from coffee cake and baked apples to pot roast and porkchops.

(Psst!  Hey.  Here's where you can buy one, if so inclined.)

  1. That must be really interesting to look through. The only element of my life which isn't really vintage at all is my cooking. I'm a vegetarian, so I can never make old recipes. :(

    1. I know how you feel! I was vegan for 3 years. At least the baking recipes can be somewhat modified. :-\

  2. Vegan - hardcore! I'm actually not very big on baking... probably because my cakes never turn out so great!
